Qeterochin ('we', 'us', 'our') operates a free beauty directory that connects clients with salons, barbers, makeup artists, and other beauty professionals. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information. Qeterochin is free to use.
1. Information we collect
- Account information: name, email address, phone number, authentication credentials (passwords/OTPs), and language or region preferences.
- Profile information: photos, addresses, business details, and service descriptions for salon owners and professionals.
- Consultation information: hair goals, color history, preferences, and photos that you choose to share with our AI color-consultation feature.
- Usage data: device type, browser, IP address, pages visited, and error logs that help us keep the platform reliable.
2. How we use your information
- Provide directory, contact, consultation, and customer-support services.
- Send account and support messages by email, SMS, or in-app notifications.
- Improve the platform, personalize your experience, and analyze usage trends.
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
3. How we share information
- With salons and beauty professionals when you choose to contact them.
- With service providers that help us operate the platform, such as hosting, analytics, and email delivery.
- We do not sell or rent your personal data to third parties for marketing.
- We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
4. Data security
- We use HTTPS encryption in transit and industry-standard access controls.
- Business data is protected by row-level security so owners only see their own records.
- We monitor for unusual activity, but no online service can guarantee 100% security.
4a. Google Calendar
- Providers can choose to connect their Google Calendar. We only use it to check when a provider is busy and to add accepted home visits to their calendar.
- We never share, sell, or use calendar data for anything else. Google access is stored encrypted on our servers, and providers can disconnect at any time from Settings.
- Qetero's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
5. Cookies and tracking
- We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, language preference, and analytics.
- You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings, but some features may not work correctly without them.
6. Your rights
- You may access, correct, or delete your profile from your account dashboard.
- You can ask us for a copy of your data or request that we delete it by emailing support@qeterochin.com.
- We will respond to reasonable requests within the time required by applicable law.
7. Children's privacy
- Qeterochin is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
- If you believe we have received data from a child, please contact us so we can delete it.
8. International data processing
- We primarily serve users in Ethiopia and the Ethiopian diaspora.
- Your data may be processed in countries where our hosting and communication providers operate, subject to applicable safeguards.
